Captain Jaye
Florida
As a native Vermonter, Captain Jaye was well known on the slopes of Sugarbush as a volunteer ski patroller, on the courts for competitive tennis, in the air as Whiskey Yankee Zulu 6119 and now on the water as “Absolutely” Her boating experience began at six when her parents devised an ingenious way of occupying and tiring out their six children. They bought a wooden rowboat, set them afloat on Lake Champlain, and watched them row and bail from the comfort of the beach. She has since then cruised several times from Lake Champlain to the Caribbean. Her last sabbatical lasted a challenging yet glorious eighteen months on a single hand voyage aboard her beloved “Absolutely” as she cruised the Eastern Seaboard and explored a significant portion of the Caribbean. At the culmination of her excellent adventure she found herself working in Miami Beach. Since that time, Captain Jaye has served in many boat related positions including Director of Sailing School, ASA Instructor, Charter Agent, Dive boat captain, Dive Master, Yacht Broker, boat relocation. When skippering larger private yachts, her responsibilities include procurement and management of crew, overseeing provisioning for guests, setting an appropriate trip agenda to accommodate guest’s needs and insuring the safe delivery of the yachts.
Her return to port is always filled with smiling faces and fantastic memories. Having cruised, dived, moored, fished and explored extensively through out the Bahamas, Caribbean, East Coast USA, Florida Keys, Captain Jaye is proud to be able to offer her unique perspective and acumen to the yachting world.
Jaye often teams with her husband Jim to share their genuine love of the sea and together, their combined knowledge and experience insures the professional operation of all yachts.
