Instructor Tiffany N
N CA, ID, WY
Tiffany began sailing a sunfish in Florida as a youth. She choose the Coast Guard Academy as a college because it provided the option to be on or near the water. While at the Coast Guard Academy she raced to Bermuda and back with the USCG sailing team. She had a great time as a training officer on the Eagle for 6 months. After graduation she was assigned as a watch officer and driver of a 210’ ship off the Oregon Coast. Nearing the end of her 6 yr obligated service she worked in the Oakland USCG offices as a civil engineer. Tiff successfully challenged the 101, 103 and 105 ASA courses via her background. She then took intermediate and advanced courses. She was near completion of her obligation to the Coast Guard and looking ahead at what she loved to do. When Tiff left the service she became an entrepreneur and sailing instructor.
Her entrepreneural business endeavors allow her the freedom to sail and teach for Afterguard. Tiffany has become an oft requested instructor. Tiff is aiding in restarting a very successful race training program, increasing what we teach for Navigation and aiding Crew Overboard Recovery Specialty courses.
